Chatsworth extends a warm welcome to all. Please contact the school to arrange a tour, whether you’re looking for your child to join us at the beginning of the academic year, or transfer in-year.
We offer tours for prospective Reception parents and families throughout the Autumn term, and for Nursery families in the Spring term. Details of tours are available on the homepage of the website, or by contacting the office for dates and times.
We highly encourage families to also tour our partner school Burnt Oak to gain a better understanding of their child’s potential full primary school experience.
All admissions are co-ordinated through the London Borough of Bexley.
Nursery – we run a morning and an afternoon session, with 26 places per session. All children are admitted in September (subject to places being available). Limited 30-hour placements are available subject to availability and eligibility. Please contact the school office for information regarding fees for additional sessions and/or lunch.

Reception – we have a published admissions number (PAN) of 60. All places are allocated according to the admissions criteria in our admissions policy, and distance is measured in a straight line from the applicants home address to the door of the main office reception located in Burnt Oak Lane.

In year applications
In-year admissions are co-ordinated by Bexley Admissions who operate the waiting list for our school. Please contact them for details of available places.
If you have been informed by Bexley Admissions that your child has been allocated a place at Chatsworth, you will be contacted by the school and invited to visit with your child. Parents will be given an application pack to complete and offered the opportunity to visit the school. Once all the relevant documentation has been received you will be given a date for your child to join us at Chatsworth.
Oversubscription criteria
In the event that there are more applicants than available places, the trust board will apply the following oversubscription criteria, in order of priority given:
The school will accept all pupils who name the school in their EHC plan.
Appeals
Please click here to take you to our admissions policy where you can find out more information on appealing if you are unsuccessful in securing a place at Chatsworth.
Related documents can also be found at the bottom of this page.
Parents of children not offered places will also be informed of the appeals procedure. Parents have a statutory right to appeal in the event of Bexley admissions’ decision not to offer a place. Although Bexley is the admissions authority, an independent panel considers appeals and their decision is binding on both parties.
There are two grounds on which appeal at Chatsworth may be considered. You will need to evidence the grounds you believe applies in your case on the appeal form and return to the school.
Please contact the school if you require further information and to book a tour of the school
Starting in Reception
Mrs Patel, our EYFS Lead, has produced an ‘All About Me’ booklet for you to complete with your child. Please complete the booklet and bring it along with you on your induction session. We can’t wait to find out all about you!
